About Ashlyn
Welcome to my musical journey, or as I like to call it, The Weyy. My name is Ashlyn and I've been making music since the fourth grade when I wrote a song for my elementary school talent show. I took piano lessons and played the flute in band.
In middle and high school, my love for music continued as I was gifted my first guitar and ukulele and from there came the goal to learn as many instruments as I could. I went through my "emo era" (Sorry mom, it really was a phase lol) and often used writing as an outlet for whatever I was feeling.
I grew up in Baltimore Maryland before moving to Pittsburgh, PA for college where I studied Interior Architecture, Japanese, and Music before moving back home after graduation.
I'm now 24 and working my first "big girl job" as an Interior Architect which I absolutely love, but music is a part of me I couldn't leave behind. I released my first single "Feel Alive" February 2026 after reconnecting with a friend from Elementary school who is now a producer! It's funny how the world works.
Music has always been something that has gotten me through some of my toughest times and I want to be able to share it with as many people as possible in hopes that it might help them too.
I'm still in the in-between, finding my weyy.
FIND YOUR WEYY
Weyy started with my last name "Weyforth" pronounced "Way-forth"
"Way forth" feels like a pretty good description of what life is: figuring out where you're going, changing direction, getting a little lost, finding yourself again, and continuing forward anyway.
That idea became Find Your Weyy.
I believe that music can mean something entirely different to the person who writes it and the person who hears it. A song might come from one moment in my life and become a part of an entirely different story in yours.
So I don't want to tell you exactly what a song has to mean. I want you to find something in it that belongs to you.
Your memory.
Your feeling.
Your perspective.
Your Weyy.
Whether you're figuring yourself out, falling in love, letting go, starting over, or just trying to make sense of everything in between, I hope my music gives you a place to feel it all.
Keep moving. Keep Feeling. Find your Weyy.
